Pirates Lose Again, Pens Alive and Well, Indy Drops a Pair

The Pirates managed just four hits today dropping a 5-2 decision to the Saint Louis Cardinals. Last year they couldn't pitch. This year they can't hit. The losing streak is now at five. It's on to Flushing to play the Mets over the weekend. No TV tomorrow because of the Pens game.

Speaking of the Pens, I'm still exhausted after last nights 3-2 overtime win. Wow, what a game. It was that type of game that made me a hockey fan long ago. All of a sudden we are back in this thing. The Caps are a good team and this will be a tough series to win. The Pens are also a good team. Penguins in 7.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pens also got back into their series with Hershey last night winning by the same score, 3-2, in overtime. Mark Letestu scored the game winner. Game four tomorrow.

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees swept a double header from Indianapolis today winning 7-2 and 9-3. The first game started at 10am. At least I had something to listen to at work.
