Biron Saves The Day... Pens Win 5-4

What a game. Nothing is sweeter than beating the Flyers. Sidney Crosby scores the game winner at the 17:15 mark and the Penguins win a wild one 5-4. Martin Biron left his post and Pascal Dupuis finds Crosby to send all the Philly idiots home angry. The Pens continue to blow leads but when they win all is forgiven. Huge 2 points. Go Pens!

Penn State Upsets #16 Illinois

Penn State shot just 29% from the field and still won. Talor Battle scored a game high 11 points as the Nittany Lions won an ugly game 38-33. It was Penn State's third straight regular season win over Illinois and third win over a ranked team this season. Illinois did not attempt a free throw the whole game. I don't think I have ever seen that before. The Lions next game is at Ohio State on February 24th. The game will be on ESPN. Ugly game. Ugly win. I like ugly. Go Lions!

Pirates, McLouth Agree On A 3 Year Contract

According to the Post-Gazette, the Pirates and center fielder Nate McLouth agreed on a 3 year contract extension with a club option for a 4th year. I say trade him. His value has never been higher than it is right now and never will be this high again. I must be high for still caring about the Pirates. I do want what's best for the Bucs but honestly McLouth is never going to match his all-star numbers from a year ago. Go with Brandon Moss , the much hyped Andrew McCutchen, and Jose Tabata in the outfield. How much longer is the Pirates brass going to keep McCutchen in the minors? If they keep this up no player will want to sign with them.

Pennsylvania liquor stores. Listen, I worked today. A lot of us worked today. When I got out of work, I wanted to have a few drinks with my girlfriend. At home. Screw the bars. I like to get fucked up and I like to do it at home. Plus I can smoke. I'm sick of beer so I stopped at the state store. They're closed! It's some sort of fucking holiday. Why can't our state be like every other state and sell booze in a REGULAR store? Now we are stuck drinking beer with no Jager. This sucks! That's what she said.

WBS Penguins 3- Hamilton Bulldogs 2

J.P. Cote broke a 2-2 tie late in the 3rd period and the Pens beat the Bulldogs 3-2. Luca Caputi and Tim Wallace also scored for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as the Penguins won their 7th straight game. With Hershey losing to Norfolk 5-4 last night, the Pens are only 3 points out of first. Go Pens! At least some Penguins will be playing playoff hockey this year.
