Justin Thomas and Jason Jaramillo sent to AAA

Justin Thomas has been sent down to make room for the returning Zach Duke. The real news? The well deserved demotion of Jason Jaramillo. This opens a great spot for the legend Erik Kratz to move in and turn this ship around.

Is it finally time for Erik Kratz to make his dent in Pittsburgh Sports lore? Only time will tell.......

The real demotion should be No-hit, No-Mit Doumit! Jaramillo just got handed a raw deal! He got stuck behind the worse cather in MLB! Now, the brass feels its Jaramillo's demotion that will settle things up in Pitt by bring up Kratz? What a joke. Jaramillo has hit every year of his career and now its his fault that the Pirates suck. Kratz coming up is a joke, he can hit .400 and he still can't hold a stick to Jaramillo's defense and ability to handle the staff. Doumit is the real eyesore 'round these parts! Go get'em Jaramillo in AAA! Afterall, Pittsburgh is the AAA-2 of the Pirates system...

I disagree. If you read our first post about Kratz needing to come up we point out that Kratz is a fine defensive catcher, and has always hit better than Jaramillo.

Besides we can't just send Doumit down. I'm pretty sure he'd have to pass through waivers and he surely would be claimed.
