Penguins Gameday #7 (Senators)

Penguins (3-3-0, 6 pts)
Senators (1-3-1, 3 pts)
Where: Consol Energy Center
When: 7:00
TV: FSNPIT

Plenty of interesting storylines and bits about this one. Last year's 1st round playoff rematch, Ex-Pen Gonchar's first game at Consol Energy Center, battle of the Michaleks (even though Zybenek probably won't play), battle of the guys with famous wives (Comrie (Hilary Duff) vs Mike Fisher (Carrie Underwood)), and the Pens' quest to get their first win of the season against a Canadian team (0-2 so far). None of those really matter to me, because Pittsburgh has a shot to grab the division lead tomorrow, but they have to win. Also, I'd really like to see them add to that 2 game winning streak.

Opponents to Watch:

Erik Karlsson- proved he likes playing against the Pens last year. He's a deceptive type of guy, and could surprise and score when you least expect it.

Sergei Gonchar- everyone knows what his slapshot can do, but I would like to see the Pens test his defense. He can be exploited on when he is in transition.

Jason Spezza- He's on a rampage right now. Mark him at all times.

Notes:

-Michalek out, obviously Asham and Staal out, Orpik listed as questionable.

-Still no word of who is starting in the crease for the Pens

-Pascal Leclaire is out for the Sens, so it appears that Brian Elliott will be taking the start tomorrow.

1:00 pm- Brent Johnson looks like he will get the green light again.
