Oh Pens, please stop the bleeding. Pens are back in action tonight at home against the Lightning, looking to do just that, stop the bleeding from that infamous 7-4 loss on Wednesday. The Pens get a favorable break by the schedule maker, as the Bolts had to make a visit to the Verizon Center last night vs the Caps. Hope the Pens can take advantage of that extra day of rest as well as the home ice.Opponents to Watch:
-Steven Stamkos- #1 in the league in goals. #1 in the league in points. He has been on a mission to change the NHL from a Crosby-Ovechkin league to a Crosby-Ovechkin-Stamkos league and he has just about reached that mark. The Pens did manage to keep him from scoring last game, but he still found a way to burn them with his passing.
-Martin St Louis- In case you don't remember, the Pens put much effort last game into stopping Stamkos and instead St Louis burned them for a pair of goals.
-Victor Hedman- Best defenseman on the Bolts, and he also has a few assists to his credit.
Notes:
-Staal out. Comrie listed as day-to-day but it is unknown if he would play anyway.
-Vincent Lecavalier injured himself last night, so we will not be seeing him for Tampa. Simon Gagne is also out and Steve Downie's status is uncertain.
