Three Pirates Make Baseball America Top 100 Prospects

Three Buccos made the list.

Jameson Taillon was #11.
Tony Sanchez was #49.
Stetson Allie was #79.

How about a comparison.

Pitcher A made the list. He was 22 last season where he spent his season in AA. He posted a nice 14-9 record with a 2.94 ERA. His WHIP sat at 1.198, he gave up 7 H/9, .7 HR/9, but had a pretty pedestrian SO/BB of 1.94. He throws a low 90's fastball that occasionally hits 95-96 and a plus curveball. His change is below average at this point and he has had Tommy John Surgery. He sits at 29 on the list.

Pitcher B did not make the list. Also 22 last season in AA. He posted a 12-6 record with a 2.46 ERA. His WHIP was an unthinkable .980, he gave up 7.4 H/9, .7 HR/9, and had an unreal 5.74 SO/BB. His pitches include a low 90's fastball that sits between 90 and 93, an above average changeup, and an average curve.

Pitcher A is Kyle Drabeck.

Pitcher B?

Rudy Owens.
