Chris Snyder has finished his rehab stint and will immediately join the Buccos. To make room on the 25 man roster backup Catcher Jason Jaramillo was optioned to Triple A Indianapolis.
Jaramillo didn't see too much time with the Pirates, working strictly as a backup catcher. He was able to get five hits in 14 at bats, and he threw out one of two would be base-stealers.
Snyder brings something this team lacks, righty pop, to the lineup. He caught 30% of would be base-stealers last season, and that is exactly what he's done over the course of his career.
