The Penn State Nittany Lions showed everyone last night why they are not ranked. A complete blowout by Michigan. Makes me look the fool. Here I was complaining that they deserve to be in to top 25. Here I was saying that no one wants to play this team in the NCAA's. Now with this one loss, the NCAA's may be an afterthought. Manny Harris scored 28 points, yes the same Manny Harris who was ejected in his last game, and the Wolverines rolled in the second half outscoring PSU 42-20. That's just Manny being Manny. Jamelle Cornley led Penn State with 25 points but the rest of the team sucked balls. On a bright note, PSU was 54.5% from the free throw line. That is actually BETTER than their season average. Ok I'm lying but you get the point. Every game now becomes a must win for Penn State. One win at Michigan State will not be enough in the eyes of the tournament committee. Up next Wisconsin on February 8th.
The Pens host the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at 7:30. It's still hard to believe that the city of Columbus has a professional sports team. I've been hard on the Pens and rightfully so, but maybe that 3rd period against Tampa was a turning point. Hope so.
