Will Brad Lincoln Get The Call?

Pirates GM Neil Huntington said earlier today that Brad Lincoln is "definitely a candidate" to make his MLB debut on Wednesday, one day after the Nationals Stephen Strasburg is set to make his debut against the Pirates.

Lincoln is 6-2 with a 3.16 ERA in 11 starts at Triple-A Indianapolis. In 68.1 innings he has 55 K's. He has also given up 7 long balls.

Lincoln is ready. He said so himself. Just last week Huntington said he wasn't ready. Not that the Pirates management would lie to us. Not them.

Too bad it won't be Lincoln vs Strasburg on Tuesday. That start will go to Jeff Karstens. Gulp. The future is getting closer. Then NO MORE EXCUSES from the Pirates. Lets Go Bucs!
