The Penguins have announced that 2009 Draft Pick, and preseason stud, Simon Despres, was awarded the Emile "Butch" Bouchard trophy as the best Defenseman in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
In just 47 games for the Saint John Sea Dogs he was a plus-29 and notched 41 points.
The highly touted Defenseman was the first pick in the 2007 QMJHL entry draft.
