Pirates Lose Aguero to Rangers

RHP Ramon Aguero has been claimed by the Texas Rangers. Aguero was Rule V protected two years ago and was Designated for Assignment last week to make room on the 40 man roster for reliever Jose Veras.

Aguero has spent a good bit of time on the Disabled List and has never pitched above the AA level, even though he is 26 years old.

When he was added to the 40 man roster it was because he was a hard thrower, but reports are that his fastball was in the low 90s this year.
